Benefits Of Green Tea

Green tea is gaining popularity worldwide due to its immensely powerful health benefits and disease fighting antioxidants. Drinking tea is an age old practice, the popularity of which is growing due to research on its health benefits. As more research is conducted, tea, specifically black and green, demonstrates significant antiviral, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anticavity properties.

Green tea lowers cholesterol and prevents heart disease and stroke. It contains antioxidants like polyphenols that fight against free radicals and prevent aging. It can burn fat and boost metabolism rate naturally. Some of the health benefits it is proven to conquer make it one of the most widely sought out beverage worldwide.

Green tea can help prevent bad breath as the natural anti-bacterial agent kills oral bacteria that cause cavities and bad breath. The antioxidants may prevent rheumatoid arthritis and reduce the severity of its symptoms. The polyphenols of green tea help lower blood sugar levels and protect against diabetes.

The antioxidants in green tea are well known contributors in fighting all types of cancer. Green tea keeps the arteries healthy and unblocked. It regulates blood sugar, increases immunity, boosts metabolism, stimulates the nervous system and does wonders for your skin. It also ensures good sleep.

Green Tea contains various bioactive compounds like flavonoids and catechins which function as powerful antioxidants. Caffeine is present in minimal proportions that is an active stimulant and improves brain functions.

If you want to feel better, lose weight, lower your risk of chronic diseases, then you might want to consider making green tea a regular part of your life.

Travel Posters

I had this great idea to add some travel posters around my house and to make it more spunky, I thought why not add a touch of pastels to pep up the posters. Glad it turned out pretty cool and I thought I should share my art with you.

Pastels have a lovely soothing, neutral, washed out effect that lack strong chromatic content. I chose my three most favorite famous architectures in Big Ben, Eiffel Tower and the Taj Mahal. I am reading a lot about architecture these days and perhaps my mind was inspired to design these posters with a sense of modern touch.

Go ahead and download my freebies and enjoy framing them around your home.

The Importance Of Staying Motivated

It’s Wednesday already and most of us are impatiently awaiting the weekend. Staying focused on work is hard. Staying motivated in life is harder. Many of us are juggling questions in our minds as to where we belong and are we truly doing justice to our goals. We aim to attain notable success and regard in our life, but how efficacious are we in training our minds to stay inspired for our achievements? Ask yourself, do you feel motivated today?

The first motivational killer is lack of confidence. When you begin to focus on what you want and neglect what you have, your mind starts making lame excuses to convince you on why you can’t succeed. Past failures, bad breaks and personal weaknesses dictate your mind. Get out of it before it consumes you. Start by focusing on everything positive in your life, feel grateful for all that you have achieved.

The best way to bring success to yourself is to genuinely desire to create value for the rest of the world

If we learn to change our approach when we are struggling to achieve something, then giving up doesn't have to be an option. Who said you have to be the best in everything you do? Not being athletic enough or smart enough or artistic enough or talented enough, doesn't mean you can't play a sport or make the honor roll or take amazing/artistic photos or sing/dance. And if you believe you can't do something because you aren't good enough, well then you believe in nonsense, which is holding you back!

When we lack motivation, we are not really alive. On the contrary, being motivated drives the good forces toward us instead of away from us. The best way to stay motivated is to have fun. Enjoy whatever you are doing, make a game of it. In fact just making a decision to have fun about your work itself is motivational.
Sit and observe yourself in complete silence. Listen to your thoughts and calm your anxieties. De-clutter your environment. Watch yourself as an observer and a positive change will sweep over you instantly.

Motivating oneself is a daily process. Begin by just being you. Care less of what others think about you. The best way to be motivated is to feel good about who you are and turn your attention to making others feel good about themselves. Humans are insecure all the time and tend to find flaws in others to feel good about themselves. Do not worry about what they think of you, just focus on feeling good about yourself.

Break down what you need to do, reframe your problems. Begin to see opportunities created by those problems. Question yourself to awaken your mind:

What is good in my life?
What is there still yet to be done?

By learning how to nurture motivating thoughts, neutralize negative ones, and focus on the task at hand, you can pull yourself out of a slump before it gains momentum.

The Power Of Love

Valentine’s Day is around the corner and most of us are conjecturing about love and its facets in our lives. Many of us may be speculating if we are truly loved, some of us hurriedly engaged in believing that we are on the path of finding it. Whatever is our state of love, the essence of it lies in the special feeling of being desired.

The life and love we create is most definitely the life and love we live. Feeling loved transforms us as bearers of good. Wherever we go we begin to create an atmosphere of goodness around us, and inadvertently spread a sense of well-being to others. Love pushes us to do good things for ourselves without thinking excessively about it, and ultimately induces in our minds good thoughts about ourselves. In the process the impact love has on us constructs positive emotions and yields positive outcomes because we begin connecting to our innate goodness. And from that place we will bring it to others.

The only thing we never get enough of is love; and the only thing we never give enough of is love ~Henry Miller

Although love is inherently free, it cannot be restrained, bought or sold. It is a feeling of immense proportions that is sensed deep within. One of the best feelings of being in love is the magnitude of its magic. Emotions are contagious. People catch them from others. So, when your love is acting lovingly toward you, it’s natural for you to feel joyous and terrific.

The feeling of love is also electric. It draws us to its magic and imbibes in us the power to spread the charm. Love is always expressed in actions but felt in the heart. Expressing love is important. To feel it deep within, it is important to understand the expression of its actions towards us. Like a force of nature, it captivates our senses and entices our hearts. We cannot command love, just invite it but never dictate it.

When we are loved, we tend to feel it spontaneously around us. But the question is how does it work? Is there an extrasensory perception in the heart that is able to read the feelings in another person’s heart?

Love is really not that fragile or supernatural. On the contrary, it’s pretty practical and down-to-earth. Our hearts take cues from our senses. Everything we see, hear, taste, touch or smell teaches us about our universe. We don’t need to contemplate or ask questions. Our sensory organs report to our brains, and our brains interpret the data and send the report to our hearts. So, if we see a loving smile, hear loving words, or feel a loving touch, the brain processes this information and concludes that indeed we are the fortunate carriers of love.

We live in a cynical world, where purity is hard to strive for. There are so many of us deprived of being loved. Consider yourself fortunate to find love, to love yourself and to spread that love to others. The difference it can make in this distrustful world is enormous. The effect it can bring to the ones around is worth striving for.

And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make ~ Paul McCartney
